Asmuliardi Muluk is a permanent faculty member (civil-servant lecturer) of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Universitas Andalas, holding the national academic rank of Lektor Kepala (Associate Professor). He directs the Information and Decision Systems Laboratory (LSIK) under a five-year appointment by the Rector of Universitas Andalas and leads the laboratory’s research group, IIDS, whose members are three faculty colleagues of the department. His research concerns information systems, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and decision support in industrial and healthcare organizations.

LABORATORY AND RESEARCH GROUP
The Information and Decision Systems Laboratory (LSIK) is one of the laboratories of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Universitas Andalas. It runs the department’s laboratory courses in computer fundamentals and programming logic, management information systems, and computer-based system simulation, and it hosts the department’s research in information technology and decision systems. As Head of Laboratory, Asmuliardi Muluk is responsible for the laboratory’s research agenda, teaching activities, and academic staff coordination.
The Intelligent Information and Decision Systems (IIDS) Research Group is the laboratory’s research group. Members: Ikhwan Arief, S.T., M.Sc. (Assistant Professor); Difana Meilani, S.T., MISD (Associate Professor); and Ardhian Agung Yulianto, S.Kom., M.T. (Assistant Professor). The group’s research areas cover artificial intelligence and machine learning, data analytics and business intelligence, decision support and decision analytics, digital health and healthcare analytics, smart manufacturing and industrial digitalization, and information systems and knowledge management.
CURRENT RESEARCH
- From Adoption to Realized Value: An Autonomy-Contingent Research Model for AI-Enabled Decision Support in Indonesian Manufacturing (lead researcher). Accepted for presentation at ISITDI 2026 (Padang, November 2026); registration completed. Research model combining the Technology–Organization–Environment framework with dynamic-capabilities theory; pre-empirical and instrument-validation stage. A firm-level survey and PLS-SEM analysis are planned for late 2026–early 2027.
- Organizational Readiness for Big Data Analytics and AI Adoption in Indonesian Hospitals. Integrated technology-acceptance and resource-based perspectives; PLS-SEM with multi-group analysis; data collection and manuscript pipeline in progress.
- ESG Awareness, Lean-Green Practice, and Habit Formation: An AI-Diagnostic Model for Sustainable Campus Transformation. Penelitian Fundamental Reguler (Indonesian national competitive research scheme), 2026–2027, multi-university team led by Universitas Islam Riau; Universitas Andalas team member responsible for the explainable-AI diagnostic module (machine learning, SHAP, NLP-based segmentation).
